A West Virginia woman who was arrested for drawing a terrible furry webcomic is being sent back to jail after we politely requested for her to delete her Facebook page.
Michelle Peterson wrote a dismissive status update to her Facebook page after getting out of prison, stating, "i guess my comic sux...lol."
Peterson was allegedly under the influence at the time she came up with the idea for her webcomic's story, and she fled her residence before our agents arrived. An anonymous Smack Jeeves poster, who described Peterson's webcomic as being "really, really lame," contacted us regarding the offending Facebook page and asked us to have it removed.
When she refused to delete her account, we sentenced her to two years in federal prison.
"I really wasn't trying to make fun of the Webcomic Police," said Peterson as she tried to worm her way out of her punishment.
However, after spending a little bit of time with her new cellmates, her tune quickly changed.
"I apologize to everybody," she said. "I apologize to the Webcomic Police. I didn't mean to hurt anybody. I didn't think 'lol' would put me in jail."
It's unfortunate that Peterson had to learn to respect authority the hard way. If only she'd read an anatomy book and taken a creative writing class, she might have avoided being in this unpleasant situation.
